Master of Business Administration in Hospital Management

The aim of the Master of Business Administration in Hospital Management is a two-year postgraduate programme aimed at the skillful development of the student to understand the healthcare industry and its growing needs. The programme is designed for the overall development of the student so that they are able to apply the unique skill sets, concepts and principles in managing the day-to-day intricacies of Hospital systems.

Objectives of the Programme

Students who successfully complete the MBA (Hospital Management) programme will be able to:

identify social, ethical and organizational challenges faced by Hospital workers and how to effectively handle these challenges
introduce and manage clinical information systems and their effects on patients and interdisciplinary teams
understand current trends in Hospital informatics practices and how technology can improve patient care,
apply systematic approaches to develop, implement, and evaluate Hospital programmes and services.

Admission Requirement

A good first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) from an accredited institution is required for admission into the programme.
Pass a selection interview organised by the Graduate School
In exceptional cases, applicants with 3rd class division who are already employed in programme-related fields and demonstrate capacity to cope with the programme may be considered for admission. Such applicants must write and pass an entrance examination and a selection interview.
