An industrial visit to the National Insurance Commission (NIC) Koforidua, Eastern Region was organized by the Banking and Finance Department of the School of Business on Tuesday, 29th March, 2022. Twelve students and a member of the faculty, Dr. Kenneth Amoah- Binfoh, visited the NIC to interact with the Eastern Regional Manager , Mrs. Esther Konadu Ofori to understand some principles of insurance, How the Commission regulates the Insurance Companies and the importance of Insurance.
We received a warm welcome by some employees of the Commission. The Eastern Regional Manager, Mrs. Esther Konadu Ofori , who spearheaded a sanitization operation in the region to clamp down uninsured vehicles as well as vehicles with fake Insurances, conducted a very informative and detailed session for the students. She also guided the students on how to make claims when losses occur.
Finally, there was a question and answer session, where students were satisfied with the clarity of answers provided by Mrs. Esther Konadu ofori.
