BIBLICAL STUDIES

The Biblical Studies Department is at the Center stage of the University as an agent of change to spearhead the Total Personality Development (TPD).  The Biblical Studies department provides core courses to the entire student body irrespective of branch of studies in addition to offering a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with a minor in Business Administration and a Diploma in Biblical Studies. The aim is to establish the basis for sound ethical, moral, and social values necessary for attitudinal change and meaningful life. The Biblical Core courses for the entire student body include Christian Education, Christian Doctrine, Christian Ethics, and Christian Leadership,

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

The department has trained several Pastors and other Para-Church workers in sound biblical doctrine (so they will be able to combat false teachings that are prevalent in present day Christianity).

The department has contributed to the moral sanity of students. The courses have helped transform many lives of students.The department has produced seasoned ministers who occupy prominent positions in Churches and corporate organization in Ghana and worldwide.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

To achieve the purpose and objective of the mission of the University, which is captured in the maxim “To be equipped for every good work” the Department purposes to fulfill this mission by:

  • Leading the student to apply Christian doctrine to counter the pagans, atheist world and life views of those who reject the authority of Scripture.
  • Countering the attempts that some will make to reduce the Christian faith to some form of least common denominator faith.
  • Stimulating the college student’s interest for the love of Scriptures.
  • Promoting a doctrine that is truly Christian, one that is based on accurate exegesis and faithful theological construction in ministry context.

BACHELOR OF ART IN BIBLICAL STUDIES WITH A MINOR IN BUSINESS ADMINSTRATION OBJECTIVES

  • To provide the biblical and theological foundation with ministerial formation.
  • To offer business administration as a minor for effective management skills.
  • To enable students for effective communication of the Gospel .
  • To enable students to develop the analytical and reflective skills.
  • To discover and develop spiritual gifts.
  • To expose students under supervision to the practices of ministry.
