The Department of Oil and Gas is a multidisciplinary department committed to train engineers who can participate in the development of engineering and geological operations in the upstream and downstream of the oil and gas industry and direct the operations consistent with and procure equipment required for operations at conditions favorable to national interests.
MISSION: This Department aims at producing graduates with technical competent and knowledge in the ethics of the practice of the profession of Oil and Gas Engineering. We believe in bringing the best out of our students.
Our Bachelor of Engineering in Oil and Gas is designed to provide undergraduates with core skills in process engineering, geology and geophysics disciplines as well as more specialised topics in petroleum extraction and refining. At the end of the degree will enable them to work effectively within the multidisciplinary teams that they are likely to join within the oil industry.
In Ghana, an Oil and Gas engineer can work with institutions such as the GNPC, Petroleum Commission, Tema Oil Refinery, Tema Lube Oil Company, ENI company, Oil Marketing Companies, Tullow Oil , Kosmos Energy, Ghana Gas Company, BOST, etc.
