ANU's Assistant Head of Department Honoured by Ethiopian Airlines for Emergency Medical Assistance Onboard
Mr Tamil Selvan Stalin, Assistant Head of Department at All Nations University, has been honoured by Ethiopian Airlines with a Certificate of Appreciation for providing emergency medical assistance to a fellow passenger.
The incident occurred on 19th May 2026, aboard a flight from Addis Ababa to Accra, when Mr Stalin stepped in to assist a passenger experiencing a medical emergency. His composure and quick response helped ensure the passenger received timely care until the aircraft landed safely.
Three months later, Ethiopian Airlines formally recognised his professionalism with a Certificate of Appreciation — a gesture Mr Stalin says he deeply appreciates, crediting the guidance and encouragement of mentors and seniors at ANU for shaping the values he brought to that moment.
The recognition is a proud one for the ANU community, reflecting the calibre of leadership and character the institution continues to nurture among its staff.
