(Mandate, role in assessment, collaboration with Registrar, faculties, and QA) The Office of the Controller of Examinations is responsible for managing and coordinating all examination-related activities of the University. Its core mandate includes the processing of students’ results, ensuring accuracy in records, and preparing eligible students for graduation in line with approved academic regulations
The Office ensures that examination scripts are properly graded through a structured moderation process involving faculty representatives from various departments. It also keys in students’ internal assessment marks to facilitate the generation of final examination results. Alumni relations focuses on lifecycle engagement, from graduation to career advancement to philanthropic giving. We work to build a vibrant alumni community that mentors current students, provides career pathways, and contributes to institutional development through giving campaigns and volunteer involvement.
Although the Office does not directly assess students, it supports assessment activities by printing and securing examination question papers for mid-semester examinations, quizzes, and end-of-semester examinations. These processes are handled with strict confidentiality and security controls.
The Office works closely with the Registrar’s Office, particularly in the generation of academic transcripts for graduating students and on request by continuing students. All official requests processed by the Controller of Examinations are routed through the Registrar’s Office for approval. The Quality Assurance Office plays a major role in assisting our office by entering students' attendance records before the end of each semester. This data aids in generating attendance percentages, which determine whether a student is eligible to participate in examinations
